“Safe? Who said anything about safe?”

I love this quote in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis, this quote is talking about Aslan who represents Jesus.

“”Safe?” Said Mr Beaver, “who said anything about safe? Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.””

When we follow and trust Jesus we are saying we know this journey with Him is not easy and Jesus isn’t the ‘safe’ option. But He is King and He is good. SO good and ALWAYS good. And that’s what we have to hold ont0: God’s goodness and sovereignty.

“We are sinners…

“We are sinners cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Through His sacrifice He has successfully dealt with the power and effect of sin for all who believe. Nothing now separates us from the Father.” Bill Johnson

NOTHING can separate us from God. Are we living in this truth at the moment? He keeps pursuing us, no matter how far we run. His love is constant! The best news!

“Don’t just exist in security, live in adventure.”

“Don’t just exist in security, live in adventure.”

If we live listening and obeying God, we’ll find the ADVENTURE he has planned for us. If we believe we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we are not alone on this adventure, we are guided by the Holy Spirit. ‘Living’ has so many more opportunities that just ‘existing.’

Inspired by the DVD ‘Hope’ by Louie Giglio…

We need to hold on to the CROSS. The CROSS is our hope. The CROSS shows us that we are loved, shows us that God is in control and shows us that what seems negative, lost, off track can be turned for GOOD, with the help of GOD.

Hebrews 6: 19 – 20 says “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.”

Make the CROSS your HOPE, your firm and secure HOPE.

“Now God has us…

“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.” Ephesians 2: 7-10.

We have the privilege of joining with God in what He’s doing, this is an absolute gift! Treasure it!
