“Safe? Who said anything about safe?”

I love this quote in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis, this quote is talking about Aslan who represents Jesus.

“”Safe?” Said Mr Beaver, “who said anything about safe? Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.””

When we follow and trust Jesus we are saying we know this journey with Him is not easy and Jesus isn’t the ‘safe’ option. But He is King and He is good. SO good and ALWAYS good. And that’s what we have to hold ont0: God’s goodness and sovereignty.

  1. Oh my goodness I’m having an epiphany right now… L W & W is an allegory to Christian themes? The obvious response is duh it’s written by CS Lewis, but somehow all of these years I missed that! I’m really glad I read this, it restores my love for an old childhood favorite of mine.
